The UT Tower will shine with burnt orange lights Tuesday, May 8 in celebration of National Championship titles won by four Sport Cubs.

The Longhorn Powerlifting, UT Fencing Club, UT Women’s Volleyball Club, and Texas TaeKwonDo teams each captured national championships in April.

Longhorn Powerlifting won the Women’s Equipped USAPL Collegiate National Championship at the event held in College Station, TX on April 19-22, 2018. This is Powerlifting’s fourth National Championship title.

UT Fencing Club won the Women’s Epee USA Collegiate Fencing Championship at the event held in Knoxville, TN on April 7-8, 2018, earning this National title for the second year in a row.

UT Women’s Volleyball Club defeated Texas A&M to win the D1 National Collegiate Volleyball Federation National Championship in St. Louis, MO on April 14, 2018. This is the club’s fifth National title.

Texas TaeKwonDo captured the Combined National Championship at the 43rd National Collegiate Taekwondo Association National Championships held in Washington, DC April 7-8, 2018, making it the first time Longhorns bring home this title.
