The UT Fencing Club, the Texas Quidditch Club and Texas Taekwondo each won national championships in April

The UT Tower will glow with burnt orange lights Monday, May 13 in honor of three Recreational Sports-sponsored sport clubs that captured national championships in April.

UT Fencing Club placed first in the Men’s Combined Division at the USACFC National Championships, winning the club’s fourth National Championship in four years.

The Texas Quidditch Club won the US Quidditch Cup 12, bringing home the organization’s fourth National Championship. Texas Quidditch went undefeated at the event, ultimately topping University of California, Berkeley in the Finals.

Texas Taekwondo hosted the National Collegiate Taekwondo Association (NCTA) National Championships at the Recreational Sports Center and placed first in the Overall Division. Their victory marked the club’s second consecutive National Championship.
