76th Annual Honors Day | April 20, 2024

About Honors Day

Introduced in 1948 and celebrated every year since, Honors Day recognizes the accomplishments of the highest achieving students at The University of Texas at Austin — those who, by meeting competitive criteria, have earned their distinction as College Scholars or Distinguished College Scholars.

The deepest purpose of the university is to unlock the potential of our students.  Honors Day is an opportunity to celebrate those students who not only reached their potential but surpassed it — elevating themselves to the very highest levels of academic accomplishment.

2024 Honors Day Program | April 20, 6 p.m., The Moody Center

Student honorees and their guests gathered to celebrate their achievements at a university-wide ceremony.  Hosted by President Hartzell, the ceremony took place at the Moody Center on the UT Austin campus.

Each scholar who attended the ceremony receives a set of honors cords that can be worn with academic regalia at Commencement. Distinguished College Scholars were awarded a medallion onstage during the ceremony.
